Imagine yourself standing in a big open field with a soft breeze blowing through your hair. The grass ripples in golden waves, and a rocky hillside rolls across the background. The rest of the world seems to melt away. That’s what inspired this shoot; a natural, dreamy location where a bride and groom could get away and focus just on each other.
Western style meets classic elegance. The champagne and deep violet roses paired with lots of greenery looked stunning under the golden sunlight. The dusty sunset hues were perfect for a fall wedding out on the aptly named Rose Gold Equestrian Ranch. We incorporated equestrian details on the cake to emphasize the couple’s style and personality. I love the pictures of the bride and groom each donning the cowboy hat—he looks extra sharp and handsome, and she looks ready to ride away into the sunset with her man. The intimate pictures of the two of them look like scenes from a heart-melting romance story.
A dog may be a man’s best friend, but I think there’s something special about the bond between a woman and her horse. The bride looks so graceful and serene. As little girl, I dreamed of having a horse and riding wild and free across the plains, so I was a little envious of this her strong, adventurous spirit.
I had so much fun living my childhood dream vicariously though this shoot. Who needs a fancy venue when you have a beautiful piece of the world like this?! I can’t imagine a better place to say, “I do” for the wild at heart.
