Well, it’s safe to say that I found a new elopement spot to add to my list of favorites! Believe or not, this was my first time in Yosemite National Park, and I was blown away by how majestic it was! I could have stood out there taking photos for hours until someone pulled me away from the natural beauty, but for this shoot, I was there to capture David and Christina’s elopement.
They are a phenomenal couple with amazing chemistry. They both had such a natural way in front of the camera, and their fearlessness definitely added a coolness factor. They were such a pleasure to shoot!
First, we started off in the city of Coarsegold. They stood outside the most charming mobile bar called the Tipsy Horse. The chic little horse trailer was decorated so beautifully (love the rustic wood on the sides!), and they served up delicious drinks like a spiced apple sangria for her and orange-infused bourbon for him—a perfect way to spice up a wintertime wedding. The deep red currant and violet colors looked stunning among the natural greenery. And the simple white cake topped with decadent chocolate drips and sweet fruit complemented the romance of the intimate outdoor location. Twinkling string lights, red taper candles, and roses added an extra touch of sophistication.
Next, we traveled another hour to Glacier Point. The trip was so worth it—I couldn’t believe the view! The sloping valley side showed off an incredible view of the pines and the famous granite Half Dome. As the sun went down, it created a striking layer of orange against the darkening mountainside.
This intimate elopement had it all: charming décor, intimate setting, and breathtaking views. But best of all, it had a beautiful couple at the center of it all. Congrats, Christina and David!
Thanks to all of the fantastic vendors who helped pull it all off:
