Wedding at Our Lady Queen of Angels & The Pacific Club, Newport Beach

Is it possible to combine a beach theme into a traditional church wedding? Absolutely! And these two did it flawlessly. This couple loves the beach and incorporated it into their wedding décor with shell-shaped accents, soft peach-colored roses, and of course couple’s photos by the beach.

The gorgeous ceremony took place at Our Lady Queen of Angels Cathedral, a breathtaking church with a large arched ceiling, wooden beams, and plenty of natural lighting. Just like the rest of their wedding, the cathedral has a perfect balance of modern and traditional design. After their heartfelt vows, the newlyweds headed back out for a breath of ocean air and a few more photos. The rocky shoreline provided the perfect backdrop for their beach theme. The bride looked absolutely radiant in her white wedding gown – I love the neckline and lace straps!

Then it was time to celebrate! Keeping with the beach vibes, the reception was held at The Pacific Club at Newport Beach which offers serene beach views from windows that surround the reception hall (as the photographer, I was loving all of the natural lighting – it really made for some gorgeous photos)!

The couple also celebrated the bride's Vietnamese heritage by wearing the traditional outfits. She wore a traditional long-sleeved white lace gown, and he donned a blue and gold outfit that he looked super sharp in! He even wore it throughout the reception while she wore a sparkling rose-sequined dress. They looked amazing together! Then it was time to really get the party started, and they danced into the evening with their friends and family (with some lovely toasts and tasty cake in between).

Best wishes to this happy couple! Thank you for the honor of capturing all of the special moments of your wedding!
